Cerro de San Pedro is a historically and ecologically important site in the state of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, that is threatened with destructions by the illegal mining practices of Canadian company Metallica resources. Despite their supposed commitments to environmental responsibility, CIBC is one of the largest investors in Metallica Resources.

On August 23, 2007, a delegation of activists from Cerro de San Pedro who are visiting Montreal to raise awareness about their struggle, teamed up with local allies in the Obtative Theatrical Laboratories to perform a street theatre action outside CIBC's head offices in Montreal to illustrate their plight.
